Back from my holiday at Phuket.
Yoyo, i'm back from my short break from work... @ Phuket...
It's something different... Guess my first time visiting officially to Thailand and of course to Phuket... It's a kind of getaway place esp for those wanting to get away from the city, like my country... Nice beaches, very hot weather (guarantee you will come back with a tan) and nice Thai foodie...
If i have been there on the boxing day 5 years ago, i wouldnt imagine how was the situation... when we visited one of the site where the Tsunami bring the whole PCC from abt 10 nautical miles to about 2000m inland where it's now sitting idlely for visitors to visit... There was also photos taken straight after the event, of bodies and bodies lying in the ruins... I just cannot imagine... It's like life's so short and fragile... 1 min you relazing and the Tsunamic came without a warning... Now every corner of some of the places, esp areas nearer to the sea, they have hung warning: Go upwards when hit by Tsunamic... I think it's a lesson learnt...
But i guess one thing that most left me impacted the most was the visitation to one of the local school in Thailand... Everything is so bare minimum, but the kids there are so happy... All thanks to 1 of my sis-IC who have the connection and the contribution to the school. Could see her passion in doing such community work... I'm also looking forward to my trip end of the year... Hopefully, i get all the stuffs right and not left!
Oh, before i forgets, 1 recommendation of this hotel which i have stayed is actually quite nice and it's near to the beach. Sugar Palm Karon... Not a really have to go hotel but i think it's worth it! hehe...
