SALES!!!!....MPH.....

Had started reading my first book from MPH Sales at the Expo last Sunday... The Manchurian Candidate written by Richard Condon.... Very "Chim" book, have managed to finish my first few chapters and i'm quite lost at what the author was trying to bringing out his point...maybe my "England" is that bad, he used sentences or phases to state his point which means i have to cracked my head to guess what's in his mind...Oh Goodness, after reading for too long, i end up having headaches... guess i must pace myself in finishing the book and bring out my long-lost friend out "Oxford Dictionary" :p Had been too impatient to finish the book rather than interested in the plot since i have watched the DVD before...
The rest of the books i have bought are:
1) Bleachers by John Grisham
2) A Painted House by John Grisham
3) A Foreign Field by Ben Macistype
4) Garfield The Movie by Jim Davis

Rained on Sunday before we played frisbee, first time kenna the whole leg coated with mud and water...actually was quite fun playing in such condition, a very good memory of my ECA with the QTSS Military Band, practising our formation under hot sun and heavy rain, drenched in sweat and mud.... hmmm, normally we dont have such opportunity to play in such a muddy field..... :p

Family Day at Edgefield P.S

Attended the Co's In House Seminar today at F's hotel before heading to Punggol for the family day...was pretty reluctant to attend this seminar since it's wont be directly affect me in anyway, and only for head knolwdege that all... Guess what!!! only abt half of the QSs were there, which the rest make up of pp from the G.S.B or GLC and other pte sectors. Talked abt the Nicoll highway's Collapse and the report by the COI. Had printed out the reports to read last week after it posted online, but gave up after reading a couple of pages... :( still collecting office dust.. :p Have no head and tail on what the speaker, think reading the report 1st b4 going to the seminar will help a lot...

Reached the school pretty late, when everyone were heading for lunch...Thank goodness G.S to help me to bring out the lunch for me... was sitting there and got the chance to call M.L after a long time since i catch up with her(after M's dad wake), but she was away in Msia holiday and visiting her relatives...Just wanna catch up with her before she flies off to I for her M trip(1 year)

This year Family Day was more free and easy as compared to last year, won a medal last year. and logical i would want to play this year but thoughts of potentially 1 more medal in my drawer will deter me from playing. :p Had a good time taking photos (using AH's camera), taking every possible candid shots from different angles and including every Hope pp and some of the students and the principal in every shots...Was quite satisfied with the shots that i have taken... except few shots which have to be deleted and one pic that i have missed (when christina passed the bouquet to the principal)... It's been years since i took pics for a long period like today and the results turned out to be "not too bad". :) Was thankful that AH entrusted her exp digital camera to me and the opportunity to show off my "shooting skills". hehe!!!

Mother's Day Celebration.

Finally, have got the chance to dine out with my parents after missing out last week due to my sis MIA...today she's also cant make it as she has to attend a birthday party with her boyfriend... so end up 3 of us end up celebrating the occasion at PS foodcourt, partly due to the fact that we cant make up our mind where to go and what to eat......

Today, actually i missed my lesson today at BBDC due to the heavy rain this morning, was raining cats and dogs when the bus turned into Toh Yi Drive, and continue until Bukit Batok...Due to the fact that i dont like to bring an umbrella around, and there's a walking distance from the bus-stop to the school, i have decided to give it a miss, not to get myself wet, due to around my body is not feeling too well... :p

It's have been raining since morning except noon which was pretty hot as i went to home to rest, was so tired that i fell asleep during the bus journey home and slept for few hours at home... Started to rain just now at my place, still raining.... Will be a nice weather to sleep, even w/o my m.v(fan) :)

Ecclesiastes 7:2-4

"It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, for death is the destiny of every man, the living should take this to heart. Sorrow is better than laughter, because a sad face is good for the heart. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure."

This verse can sums up the feeling i had for this week... Was completely shocked when news of our Ex-president, Dr Wee passed away. I only get to know this news from S.M when i went out of shopping with her on Monday afternoon... and she mentioned it, so happened that we were around Istana, so i suggest why dont we just dropped by and pay our last respect to him? but she seems a bit of reluctance and i didnt know if it's opened to the public by then... but ever since, i have been catching the news regarding about him...
The news have been protraying Dr Wee as the "people's president", of how humble he is, never shows any airs, of how he treat pp( as a ambassador etc... One thing that mentioned in the new report that quite shocked me is that he mentioned he never attended any university, except university of life... I have no memories of the time when he was our President, but i believed that our media is truely reported.

Went down to pay our last respect with angel on Wednesday night straight after my work... received her sms, she was pretty sad about Dr Wee's passing as she had read his book b4. It's was my 1st time in Istana and it was so HUGE. :) Cant imagine have to walk all the way in??? Honestly i was quite sad about abt his passing too... but as what was mentioned in Ecc 7:2.

Also, this friday, i got to know that 1 of my colek has successfully transferred to another team... Aiyoh, should i be happy abt it or sad? Actually, i'm quite shocked and sad that he will be leaving the team, know that at times he was so pressured and stressed up that he just like to ventilate his frustrations... but emotions aside, he's not a bad worker, seeing how he arrange the work and other work stuffs, our team just lost a valuable worker... hmmm, but why the transfer is not me? how i wish he stay on and i transfer out, not that i'm that hard-hearted, but the work has been hay-wired so bad that anyone in the team would love to ask for a transfer... my thoughts also hay-wired.. But at the end of the day no matter how i dont like him, I still wish him all the best in the other team and will be more happier rather than stay on and be like the "active volcano". :)

Something to give thanks for..

Hmmm, today started work with a little anxious, when i don't know what to happen today at work... esp, with 20 more freshies going to join us.... hehe...hopefully, things will get better... Met our new team member, J today... quite a friendly gal. when she was been intoduced to our team members, none of them even say a hi to her, but amazing she's still can smile all the while, only the other SQS offered to help her settled down, also the same guy that offered his help to me.... :)

Of all my project members, only me and ah gua were in the office, H was still on MC until mid of May (Told by our Assoc) and MIA, dont know what happened to him? Also another SQS from our team was told to assist in this project, and today had a chance to work her, quite a pleasant person to work with... and of no good reason, that ah gua didnt raised his voice or said anything nasty...in fact, he even can joke in front of me... hmmmm, is this too co-incidental?
Today was called into my associate to discuss about some work when he suddenly mentioned that ah gua... then he mentioned something that was quite unusual to me.... hmmmm, is that a.g leaving?

Today, had a opportunity to the gospel or opportunity created to share with a colek in my office but of diff projects... As usual, lunch time, he will dropped by my desk to chat with me... today, was quite surprised to see him in front of my desk during lunch as he was quite busy today, i tabao my lunch today as i also got my stuffs to do... While chatting, he suddenly mentioned about the Bible and starts talking of how he reads the bible even though he's a pre-believer and and go to church with his cousins while in a while...
Also got to know another colek today from M&E team, normally we will tabao to have lunch in the staff lounge, but we dont talk to each other, until 2 weeks ago when she initated the conversation... today, i initiated, found her to be approachable.. THank God for the guts to talk to her...Another new found friend...yeh... :p

Was pretty emotional upset last week.... shared with my cg, but most importantly, what i need most is prayers.... Am thankful for some1 to pray for me... Answered prayers!!! Keep going... Jia You.. :)

Labour Day.

Finally, get can to rest on Monday w/o having to take my annual leave... :) But haven plan what to do tomorrow, dont wanna waste the whole day doing nothing...

Also, today is the 1st svc at MCC, and Rev Sng shared on the book of James 4:4-10. Topic was on "Worldliness and it's antidote" Few pointers that Rev Sng has pointed out when we make friends with the world, usually it's not abt people, or the planet but rather the pattern of life( means in harmony with our/others inspirations and ideals of the world.

We will become friends with the world:
when we seeks what the world seeks,
when praise of man, pleasure in this world, and prefer not to be distracted, interferred or interuppted etc.....

The answers to this issues are:
1)Commitment to God (Submit, Resist the devil and drew near to God Psalms 145:18)
2)Commitment to Holiness (James 4:8), (Cleanse your hands and purify your hearts Ps 24:4)
3)Commitment to Repentance:- Our attitude (James 4:9)

As i sat there listening to the sermon, i was been reminded that there's quite a number of issues which i need to submit to God and repent of my sins... Never knew that's such issues existed until today sermon just jerk me out of my sense... As i reflected, i need to work on all the 3 parts of the antidote mentioned above and i dont have even any idea of how to resolve these issues, and the only way that i can think of is prayer, submit, commit & surrender to God... The sermon was preached at the right time, and it's again, that i can do something to resolve them or just simply ignored them... so "choice is up to me"... same as the name of the puppet show today.

Today no frisbee as it was raining just before the game, so W sent out smsess that the game is cancelled due to rain... but just bfore 4.30pm, the rain stopped.. by the time, all the sms have been sent out...so we continued to stay at Vic's place until 6pm bfore leaving for V's place for the party... :) In summary, we did nothing but watched 2 DVDs at Vic's place(The Mancurian candidate and Troy) from 2-6pm. That's how i spend my day.
