Night at the Museum 2

Today for once i managed to get myself to my first dance practise... went earlier to practise as i was not around the previous week... So gonna lot to catch up... But anyway, was glad that i went... never expected that i would miss dancing for God... Was especially touched by the song "How great is our God"... After hearing from the one of ablum in the Parachute Band worship song, i fell in love with this piece... But after taking a short break, i realised that dancing has also become a painful experience for me... After practising for about 2 hours, my right knees are feeling the sharp pain... haha... maybe i have gain a bit of weight... so can feel the diff...

Went down to PPR to have my PSP fixed and add in more movies from the expert... hehe... anyway, it wasnt that rush... just have to wake up slightly early... Plus i have a horrible dream last night... din slept well... So might as well make full use of the available time... =)

Oh, after my dance practise... me, my sis and bro-IL, 3 of us went to watch the "Night at the Museum2".... Actually the movie was pretty funny and comedy... Was laughing at the funny jokes... Overall, i rated the movie as not bad though the story plot wasnt as fantastic as the first movie... I like such funny movie, definitely can helps to destress... haha... today as we walked pass the TV screen in the cinema, saw the preview of Ice Age III.... I'm going to catch the movie again... despite that i have watch the first 2 movies... but i think it's going to be a nice movie... very comical movie...

Today, got myself a really solid earphone... But i think it's worth the $$$ paid for as the sound quality is really good... =) recommendation from the expert... haha... We ended the day by having a sumptaneous dinner at Coffee Bean in Paragon and late night shopping at Wisma Atric before going back our homes...

Persistent cough.

I have been enduring the persistent cough for nearly 2-3 weeks... Have rather been reluctant to see doc as i'm quite skeptical about the effectiveness of the cough syrup / the cough tablet plus the drowsiness that the medicine brings along... Hey, it's not the mild type... always after taking the cough syrup and the tablet will cause me super drowsy even though the doc said that the tablet will cause less drowsiness... Not true for me... The tablet effect is the same as the syrup!!! I should have took the doc's advice and rest at home rather than to endure my time at work today...

All that could went wrong all went wrong today. Aiyah.... should have take the medical leave... Haha... if not i have not wasted 1 day of super unproductive day plus said the wrong words at the wrong time and wrong place... Blown at the wrong person... after finding out a load of rubbish that a E submitted earlier.... sick man...

Was really sick and tired after work so... Took a walk at Terminal 3, 3rd storey... found a shopping haven... it's nicely hidden somewhere in departure hall... Only 1 escalator that will lead to the shopping area... and 1 of the shop is having a nice discount... Was tempted to buy but held back as it was still not cheap after a big discount. I was looking for a cabin luggage as i have a huge luggage... still considering though not a must buy thingy!!! hehe...

After all, i'm going off for a 11 days leave (including sat and sun) and looking for one cabin luggage which i dun have to check in... and i'm super duper stressed... coz still have a lot of work haven completed... Think i may have to go back to work during weekend... at least not soo stressed and better concentration... i think!!! But buying the luggage is definitely not going to be part of the retail therapy... that's for sure!!! =P

Ohana Camp briefing

Never expected it's so near to the my 2nd Ohana Church camp... Counting down left with only 2 more weeks... Oops and i think i got more to catch up... and i mean literally work... Oh gosh, i hope to go to the Ohana Camp without any pending work behind...

And this time round, i'm rooming with a stranger which i'm not very confortable... 1stly is someone from the MS and 2ndly i dun feel confortable bunking with her in a room... Cannot imagine i'm going to bunk in with a total stranger.. but on the bright side, i 'm going to make a new fren... Oh, but i'm looking forward to the workshop and the main speaker, Ps EC and our ever passionate Ps, PK I guess it's gonna be different experience this time round... "Changing Hearts Changing Lives"

It's kind of no expectations of what i'm going to get out from the entire church camp but rather looking forward to touch God and experience the power of God in my life. Perhaps it will be my last church camp with PL... So gonna go and enjoy! =P

Got a load bag of stuffs from the briefing just now... our DT's team-cheer, goodie bag such as our camp t-shirt and our camp "book" so to speak!

Yeah... Counting down to my 2nd Ohana camp 2009.

Change of hairstyle today

Think i must be too sick and tired of my old hairstyle... That i have finally take my first step... to book my hairstylist 1030am in the morning with my sis and bro-in-law. Three of us went to Jeric (Central) branch but was a bit late... but hai hao, our hairstylist waited for us patiently... Actually it's quite nice to be served by her... Quite professional yet not so impersonal... chatted with us while making our hair... Both of us went for the promotion while her hubby went for the alaka item, my sis went for their hair treatment while i went for their "cut, dye, highlight, treatment" package... Took us around 3 hours to complete... my sis took about 2 and haf hour while her hubby waited for us nearly close to 1 hour for us to complete while been entertained by his itouch.

Thank goodness our dance practise was cancelled last minute due to our trainer was not feeling too well last minute... If not, i have to rush down like mad to the training...

Well, after our done with our hair, we went down to 1 of our fav restuarant at Central... Ate ramen noodle at the Muratama Ramen... I used to like it because the noodles was cooked by the Japanese chefs back then and we could always see the Jap owner walking around... Today, when we went to eat the noodles again, we could see that there was at least 2 chinese chefs and the noodles taste still okay... but quite disappointing... coz all the chefs that we always see no longer around... the taste slightly changed and their menu also change... Last time used to have 2 types of noodles (non-spicy and spicy pork ramen)... now they add curry... Omg, it's totally like becoming more singaporean styled noodles rather than Japanese Ramen. Maybe next time, we should drop by Liang Court's branch... maybe we can still have the authentic Japanese ramen there.

We took some photos at the saloon as well as at the restuarant... Will post it up into my FB soon.

It's going to be rare chance that i'm going down to PPR to play wii... since i will be quite busy with my dance practise and my upcoming church camp and trip. It will be quite sometime that i will be paying them a visit... anyway, we have fun today... ate the pizza as recommended by my sis's coleks... not bad as it has the thin crust... i like the hawaiian pizza... it not baked until the pineapple all squeezed dry... it's pizza's pineapples still have the juice inside... so when i bit into the pineapple, can still taste the pineapple juice been squeezed out. If any1 like thin crust pizza, i would definitely recommend it.

Oh, by the way... The pizza that i'm recommending is Timbre. It's website is http://www.timbre.com.sg just in case you are interested in their pizza too. =)

Holiday at a Sunny Island and church camp.

Haha... dunno why i'm so excited about going to church camp this year... perhap it will be going to be really a long break from work... But meanwhile will be really stressed up... why??? I'm having a "bottleneck" situation... if i cannot manage to get the "tenders" through, i will probably be a dead meat even before i departure for my church camp... That's explain why i have been really stressed up the last few days and last week...

Think i'm going to have a mental breakdown if i cant get the choke bottle cleared by next week... Aiyah, seems easy to say but when it comes to getting work done is not so easy when all your E are taiji experts. All dumped the dirty work to me... haha... Not that i want to complain here... but damn sick and tired of being involved in such activities... Oops, seems like me on the losing end... but i know where my future lies... =) So not so bad lah...

K lah, shall end here... if not will have trouble waking up tmr morning! =P and i dun wanna be late for work tmr. hehe..

WM Retreat cum Dance Retreat

Thank God that i'm able to go for both the dance and WM retreat... Have encounter God differently at the retreats... and i'm thankful for experiencing God in such a special way and of course encouragement from a Sis-in-Christ... Thank Sis for your kind advice... will always keep that in mind...

Never mind that it's quite tiring to rush from 1 retreat to another... Now still having body aches, esp my thighs from learning the Indian Contemporary Dance piece. hehe... overall, this time our dance retreat more structured and we can focus better on improving on our techniques and our understanding the bibical of worship as the whole from the boo of Psalm

But 1 thing that i will never forget is what God has reveal His Heartbeat to me during the last 2 days pointing me to that particular verse in Rom 12:1-2.. Yesterday while listening to the dancers' sharing, this verse jump out of my mind and this morning, my daily devotion of mediating on the 2 verses which happens to be from the same book, chapter and verse.

Romans 12:1 "Therefore, i urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your Spiritual act of worship."
Romans 12:2 "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will."

One thing that struck me today is "do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world... and of course what's really spiritual act of worship means to me. Yest, i was reminded of living out that total surrendered life to God and today i learned of be transformed by the renewing of my mind... and not to conform to the pattern of this world.

I hope that i can apply these truth into my life after the retreat and allow these truth to internalise me and life's transformed... and i have just officially told my 2 chiefs of my intention... Hopefully i will not discourage them by my action. Will be back in action pretty soon. Meanwhile i hope to make full use of my break from the WM ministry. =)
