QTSS 50th Dinner and Concert
Just yesterday, met up with my old classmates, kakis n seniors from QTSS... Oh ya, plus some of the teachers who have taught me during my 5 years in QTSS... Like my Sec5 Math teacher, Mrs L, bald PE teacher EL, Arts head S, Discipline master during my time, N... the rest i cant remembered as they are the new batch of teachers came in after we graduated... Aiyah, i thought that i can meet/catch old teachers... those who had ever made an impact in my life as a student there.... my POA teacher... Mdm H, A.C (my super fierce English teacher), Chemistry L ... not to mention my principal CSY.... Eh, must mentioned that "Bulldog".... very famous for her unreasonable, super unreasonable, and i got no words to describe her... she's so famous even from our time.
Actually just a couple of weeks ago, my best friend YH sms me whether i'm interested to go for this fund-raising as well celebrate our 50 year anniversary... Well, in the beginning, i wasnt too keen coz the ticket can blow a hole in my pocket.... so i was a bit hesitated but then after her hogging so many times, i gave in and went to the dinner yesterday.. Glad that i went, able to catch up with a old classmate, FY. it's so many years since we graduated from QTSS. Ya, because we (Me, YH and FY) were very early, and as a ex-QT student, super kiasu... after the history walk thru the goos old times gallery... we went to sit down at our table. Talked about old times, our teachers, gossiped abt some of our old frens from our military band... We had really good time, remembering the past, and brings lots of laughter in our conversation. Those were the Good Old Days... Guess we were from the same batch, ex-classmates during the lower sec until we split into our chosen class after that, same CCA (QTSS Military Band)... Oh, i met my senior from the band(we played e Eurphium), she graduated in year 1993... We shared the same table with our senior, graduated earlier than us by about 3-5 years.... and i met 7 new seniors that night... We said that one of these days, hopefully we can meet up and catch up. Hopefully, wont have to wait until 50 years later. Ever since we graduated, we dun really catch up with each... since most of them already have their own family... Oh ya, thought that taking wedding photo shots were quite unique, but my that fren even ask permission from the principal to take wedding shots in the school compound, how they knew each other in school.... and even the whole band was waiting for them to shoot together... but anyway, because they went back to school, then they got to know about this dinner and concert event and somemore they have to deal with that bulldog....
Our school band played 2 pc for this occasion 1)Seagate Overture by James Swearingan and 2) One Moment in Time by John Higgins. But though to the design of the restaurant and the band seating arrangement, we could not hear the whole pc played by the band.... It's been 8 years since we last wear our band uniform... Oops, the design of the unform changed until... it's has lost the "taste" liao.... Dinner starts late as usual.... and with the lucky draws and auction of our teacher, S painting... we finished about 11pm and plus dilly-dally...and... Oh yes, 3 of us got ourselves a 50 year old QTSS anniversary book.
Today, went to gym and CardioBlitz class... the instructor warn the 1st timer that this class is not suitable for beginners, but since i signed up... quite wasted if i dun tried it out even though the warning....eh, also tried out the steambath, finally after so many months of a "P package" member... the 20mins steaming myself quite shiok leh.... the class that i went super shiong ( with warnings b4 hand).... the dance steps so complicated and i was lost in the beginning... but it's a good workout, sweats buckets....
After that, i went to the MT1 later.... The M.T1 was a bit chiem... and we got practical at the end... i must be deaf man.... beta start tuning my ears to God more often, if not.... i wont be a effective m. for God. Wow, just amazed how God can speak to each one of us in so many ways.... Had a long day today.... Tmr, going to be a long day again... it's 3rd week of the month and it's our monthly gathering and some workout... hehe... =)
