Hope Retreat....
Back to Singapore, finally... but with a little bit "yiyi bushe"... Maybe our retreat used to be 4 days, with this time round 3D2N... But not bad though, with pockets of R&R... some of us went for spa, while the rest, hanged around... catching up... For me and my rm-mate, AH... we slept almost of the free pockets... which means almost the whole day... she's recovering from cough and i got headache, after taking the muscle-relax medicine, i also went to Zzzzzz.... it will cause certain degree of drowziness.... Then i had a really heavy BBQ dinner, catching up with pp at my table, listening... also shared with one of the leaders... and listening to live band... Can u imgaine I. pp singing chinese songs, like T.T, etc??? Think those who stayed back to listen, enjoyed ourselves very much... only 2 tables stayed back to listen to the live music.
This time round, we had a suite... sharing with R&I,P... Quite a experience lor since my first time bunking with kids around... quite fun though, playing with him in our suite... Den walked Jo Jo 2 times, with A & BS allowed... After playing and hanging with kids, i found out i also loved kids, just that i didnt wanted to get closed with them... Enjoyed my time spent with the kids... esp P. =) hmmm, at our room where the children programme will be held... after 1 session, we left for our room early while the leaders were having their meetings... Vic, A, P still at R&I's room, so at first, we wanted to play bridge but lack of 1 more players... and B wanted to zzzzZzZ.. and Both J and J's roommates have to go meetings so end up at my room...and end up we played with the kids....
Oh ya, i enjoyed the silent retreat very much... it's been a long time hearing and getting assurance from God. Was indeed very rested and refreshed in God. Though that i'm might fall asleep as we wasnt allowed to talk to one another... but as i was walking with God admiring His creation... am very well assured that in my rest of the journey, God will still faithfully walking with me to heaven... hehe... Just today was doing on my daily devotions which HZ has prepared in our camp file... In Exodus 33... God's presence will we find rest... something like that... Rest... i would really love to have beside the physical rest during the camp but also spiritual rest which i'm continue to seek to rest in God. And knowing the riches we have in Jesus... reminds me of the story that P. KL shared with us... knowing the our postitions in Christ... so something i'm looking forward to... That's to enjoy the richness in Christ and what i strived to gain.. not things that's temporary but can last eternal...
Playing bridge is something we have been doing in every hope camp... this year also the same... On the last night, which is yesterday... We holed up in KJDM's room to played bridge until midnight.... Quite tiring esp this morning which i have to force myself to wake up early for our 1st morning session as well as breakfast.... Played bridge again while waiting for our ferry time... and played table tennis with Ed and P... wow, both of them were really good... end up me and P. KL genna "trashed"... not too bad we hit few points against them.
Hmmmm, the rest i will shared more in future...... fingers too tired!!! hehe...
