Study on the Book of Romans
BSF have started and i have been rather diligent on completing everyday questions....
Though the book of the Romans have been quite encouraging and exciting... but heard from others that the book is very challenging and difficult... shall look forward to studying of this book where Paul wrote his letters to the various churches in his time...
Just now, as i was preparing to bring in my washed clothes, i saw the clear dark skies, with tiny of stars shining throughout the skies... I have never always saw stars from my flat since i moved to this current place... until recently like last year... saw a couple of times.... While walking out of the church where i study BSF during the first lesson of the year, i saw and amazed by the stars... wow... never i ever always awed at the lights of the stars...
As i reflected, i remembered in the Romans 1:19-20. God has revealed Himself - His eternal power and divine nature through the creations, so every mankind should know God but they never glorified God nor gave thanks to Him. Oh gosh, i mean we have been made by God and God have left something behind for us to know Him and that vacuum can never be replaced by any other things yet, man made for themselves idols and images out from human and animals... so in the end, we never gave thanks to God for what He has created us and our surroundings... As BSF termed it as a general revelation... so thru nature, we knew that that's a creator who have created the whole universe and that we should worship the creator... instead what happened??? man claims to be wise, exhange the glory of God and create images that looks like mortal man, animals, birds, reptiles.
In the book of Romans, thru Paul's letter will revealed to us how sinful we are and the many truths that we may have denied or suppressed in our hearts... and we really need the saving grace of God and His Salvation plan for all mankind. It will be definitely a wake-up call and the Truth staring straight in front of us for both christians and the many unsaved. Til the next BSF, i will share more in my next sharing. =)
