Red Cliff 2
Too complicated to share how i end up watching Red Cliff 2 with my coleks... haha...
Well, story too long here to write... but those interested can hear from me personally...
It's sort of like reading the story from the story from the three kingdoms but yet the characters are alive in front of me... it's like the book come alive... haha... anyway, i have sort of able to predict the ending which doesnt seems to make the story exciting but rather very predictable... but i sort of miss the kind of story which have historic background in it.... I guess i have been too long didnt watch such movies, since i have missed all such related movies in the past... sort of miss such movies... well, i should say that it's definitely a must-watched movie for pp like me who loves historical movies... though towards the end, the scenes were a bit gross... a
As i was waiting for my coleks outside the cinema after the show, these words came to mind:- "war is an ugly affair". Like what Zhou Yu said in 1 of the scene: No one wins in a war, only lose... you may win the battle but you will certainly lose something!! Like what the characters lost even though they have won the battle:- their dear brother, for Shangxiang loses her beloved, a commander from the opposing side etc... it was that scene that touches me.
Guess what brings to war is comes from our greed... greed for power & control, greed for money, greed for lust etc. But at the end, even though you may have getting hold of your greed, will you lose something else? i guess so... maybe in your pursuit of power, climbing up the corporate ladder, you may lost like spending time in building quality friendships or even time with family, friends. Is it really worth the effort in chasing after these dreams in sacrificing what's really matters the most? Some food for thought.
In this brand new year, my resolution is not to get entrapped into what most of us are pursuing:- things like climbing up corp ladder, securing our jobs like nobody business... But to really do God's business!
