Kelong experience at Kelong Kawal
Yesterday morning, me & a group of our present & ex-colleagues set off at Sin time, 9.30am for 2 hours ferry to Tanjung Pinang, Batam for a 2D1N stay at a local Kelong Kawal, which is about 40min ride from the jetty. It was pretty a small group as compared to the previous trips where our group size is about 80plus... This round, we have 31 people (including children) went for this trip. We reached Tanjung Pinang jetty at about 10.30am (btw, their timing is 1 hour slower than our timing) - Find it weird though... =P We quickly took the chartered vehicles to bring us to the Kelong... Some of us who are more adventurous took the slow walk to the Kelong via the slits leading to the Kelong while the rest of us decided to take the 5-10mins boat ride to the Kelong.
Quickly, we changed to our swimming entire (some of us quite daring wear the bikini)... =) Spend 2hours plus at the Palau Hantu swimming while the rest just enjoy catching up... Me & GL's wife & her daughter went to pick seashells after so boring in the water. Nice picks... Shall take a picture and do something with the seashell soon!!! We met a small incident while coming back, oops. 1 of the engine suddenly drop dead... So Mr Lim (owner of the kelong) had no choice but to travel slowly until the dead engine revived again. When we reached the kelong, the rest who's travelling on another speedboat had arrived. Some of us went back to shower while the rest went for the banana boat ride... heard from them that none of them fell into the water... Not fun, right... Banana boat should be able to flunk you into the water at a fast speed... hehe...
Showered in cold water after we came back from the island as i was super hot... (fyi, the kelong do not install heaters nor air-con sys in their rooms). End up, me & some of us chit-chatted outside their rooms (Note: their rooms facing the open sea but no sea-breeze). =(. Played carrom with GL, his wife & their daughter... Experted sia... first round, me lost until "drop pants"... won no carroms until GLW shared her techniques with me then i started winning those seeds...
Can u imagine sleeping in super hot (like sauna-room) with just a little fan blowing at you? We all end up at the Karaoke room (the only air-con room in the Kelong) & sing until early morning... By the time, all very exhausted & went back to their rooms for the night... except me, my room-mate, jenny & 2 guys got stucked in the K-room until 5plus in the morning... But it was freezing cold... Rested but didnt slept well throughout the night. Those ah Tiongs played mahjong & talked so loudly that those's rooms just outside the recreation area find it very hard to fall asleep until their game finishes at 3am.
2D1N stay in the kelong is quite suffice to experience a kelong stay especially for those who are very used to sleeping in a air-conditioned rooms will find it a torture to sleep even for 1 hour... as kelong is very hot & humid in the daytime & warm at night. Oh, by the way, not just have to bear the heat but also those irritating insects which always hovering over the food.
Overall, the food is pretty decent and quite delicious... But my room-mate said that their standard dropped from the last time they stayed in this kelong... Commented that the portion's smaller & less variety... We had big fishes, osyter, vegtables, chilli prawns, crabs for almost every meals... We even had satay for late supper... while we are K-ing... =) The kelong is undergoing some renovation works right now, & buck of the kelong is supported by concrete structures instead of wooden slits which the owners said need to be changed every few years to prevent collapsed of the kelong due to the weakening of the wooden structures... and it has been expanding over the last few years so the kelong is now much bigger & spacious. Who knows next time when we visit the kelong, there will be sufficient space for badminton court???
We even have time to go to the town to shop some of their local products which you can't find it in Sgp... Bought a carton of instant noodles at a very cheap price... Though you can find it in our supermarkets, the price is more than double of the purchase price.
Anyway, our 2D1N at the kelong is just eat, eat & nothing but eat as we don't really have much programme to keep us entertained and entertain onboard kelong is limited.. It's more like getaway weedend trips for those who brough along their family & the rest who came alone. But it's good opportunity to be able to catch up with soome of my colleagues whom i seldom talked to, esp after our C of our previous Org.
Will upload the pics soon.

Fire of Revival
A
I came into the gathering of the people of the Lord;
D E A
And found my way among them to His Throne.
A
I needed to return unto the altar of my God
D E A
To renew again my covenant with Him.
Chorus:
D E A
And there I built an altar to His Name;
D E
And realized my life would never be the same.
A D A
And then the fires of revival came sweeping through my soul,
Bm E
And I touched the Holy Presence
A
of my God.
D A
Come build an altar unto the Lord.
D G E
Return to worship and hear His Word.
A D A
And then the fires of revival will come sweeping through your soul;
Bm E A
And we'll touch the Holy Presence of our God.
I wanted to discover the first love we once had shared,
Rekindling the fire deep within.
I found the lamp still flickering in the temple of my Lord
And pour a horn of oil unto the flame

Tired....
Was pretty tired yesterday and today.... Couldnt concentrated even for a minute which i felt caused me quite unproductive for the 2 days... If i have requested for few more days of medical leave.... tink that might have helped... Instead of walking on the ground, am feeling floating... so dreamingz...
Shall look forward to the long weekend... Friday going to Palau Ubin with my MS cell and weekend with my colleagues to Kelong stay... Hopefully my energy has returned back to normal!!! =)
Starts to wonder if certain repetitive rituals needed to be done for the sake of doing... If what's the original purpose of doing has been lost? Are we just purely following the rituals blindly? What is the point of just set aside monthly meetings for the sake of meeting when we were just highlighting the previous NOM?
Sometimes, i missed those days when our Sect is small, as what my previous boss highlighted which i absolutely agreed with her... (Shall not share here). What's the point of meeting the full stat when there's no unity within the team??? Is the full stat really that important? Or are we looking for quantity rather than quality? Really pity our past pre-C's efforts and hard work if one day we would lose our "rights" when we are being labelled as "seat warmers" rather than the "frontiers". That very day, i would rather not to be around to witness the fall from grace!
K, enough of my bull-shit... =P

Surgery is over. PTL
Thank God that the surgeon has safety removed both my wisdom tooth yesterday afternoon though it was rather traumatizing experience for me (not just from hearing the drilling sound from the cutter but also the laughing gas).
Today is less painful but still quite swollen... Hopefully will subside by the next few days... if not i will bring my swollen face to meet my colleagues on monday morning... haha... a early scare of the week.
Feel a bit lethargic so went to have a short nap in the late morning. So refreshed now... Have been doing a short check on the web for sis who will be travelling to KL with her hubby for a short biz trip. Task completed. hehe...
Will let my over-worked brain to have a short break during this few days of medical leave.. hehe...
Will be back to work on Monday. =)

Met a pervert on bus
Of all the days, i chose to work OT today... =(
First, it rained heavily after i left work about 9plus so no choice have to continue to take a slow bus home...
Haven warmed my seat, this pervert came and sat next to me... Omg, the whole bus is almost empty and of all people, he came & squeezed with me... At that moment, i felt very uncertained coz suspected he might be a pervert... So i place my food container and he kept inching closer to me so i pushed him away.. but he still persisted and started talking to me... asked all sorts of questions... finally i DBT, told him i reached home and go to the lower deck... Just then, realised that i'm not a first victim and so both of us decided to report to the bus captain... So the bus captain went to check and finally the pervert got chased out of the bus... Finally home sweet home...
Think of that, during this period... Thank God that he give me wisdom to push the man away and ignored him.... Not sure if i have answered his Q, what will he use the information for??? Anyway, it's a lesson learned, just rely on your guts, if something's not right, quickly act on it. You wont go wrong too far.. Anyway, guess that pervert only targeted young gals coz the earlier victim was much younger than me... while the rest are quite matured, and prob the pervert wont target on the other only lady on the bus coz she looks so fierce... Haha...
Today, attended a talk organised by my company... it's knowing myself and how to relate to others at work using their personality esp your own boss and fellow colleagues ... Quite a interesting talk by this experienced trainer/consultant: Nancy Yeo. She's really a good motivator, by just listening to her, we are all mentally all charged-up after the talk...

Back from holiday
It has been a stressful week (last week) as i struggled to handover the handover list to my SCM who will be temporary helping out for few of my current projects. Thank God that i managed to sit down with her to go through the entire handover list on Fri before i'm officially off on Monday. Thank goodness to have her around this time as i have to rush out a very impt task by this week if not, prob i will be spending my time worrying on it. As usual my paraphase "less 1 thing to worry about". Usually there's not likelihood to have another pp to cover my duties as we have different teams but my SCM doesn't mind to help out for the entire week.
I guess though our experience with the hotel isnt that fantastic but still we managed to get a pretty good room at the end of the day. First time changed rooms for 4 times before we can finally settled down... Though my room dont have a fantastic view of KLCC, i still managed to get a glimpse of it from the other room. From the time we reached the hotel, it's tugging our luggages from 1 room to the other... omg... Cant believe we have to do this while holidaying!!! But anyway...
Soon, it's shopping time... But one thing that we didn't go is the KLCC though it would be lovely to go especially to the viewing bridge connecting the twin towers. Next time bah..personally for someone like me who dont shop unless i got some agenda or shopping list, usually I will leave the shopping mall with hands emptied... This time thought that I will prob won't be going home with any purchases, end up buying 2 pairs of shoes and few tops thanks to a dear sis who kept shove shoes/clothes into my hands... Quite like her choice, prob she can be a part time image consultant... Haha. Personally I find her to be quite a tasteful lady... Whatever she choose is so nice... Haha... Thanks Sista!! Sometimes it's good to go shopping with pp like her, dun need to crack your head to think what to choose!!!
I guess, end of the day, enjoying one another's company is suffice to compensate any act of omission/place of interest... Majam so chim... But true lah, enjoyed their company... Very minute and seconds were full of laughter... Am thankful to know these sisters more during this trip...
Guess, it boils down to our objective... what's our purpose for this visit? Anyway, we had the opportunity to set aside time to visit bro R from our work and family. Oops!!
Well, shall look forward to my next trip with my colleagues to 2 days Kelong stay at end of the month...
My dream trip will be treking to Mount Everest / any mountain in Nepal. Anyone interested? =) and backpacking to Europe... or probably a trip to Grand Canyan in US???

The Father's song
Music and Lyrics by Matt Redman
The Father's song
I have heard so many songs
Listened to a thousand tongues
But there is only one
That sounds above them all
The Father's song
The Father's love
You sung it over me and for eternity
It's written on my heart
CHORUS
Heaven's perfect melody
The Creator's symphony
You are singing over me
The Father's song
Heaven's perfect mystery
The king of love has sent for me
And now you are singing over me
The Father's song
I have heard so many songs
Listened to a thousand tongues
But there is only one
That sounds above them all
The Father's song
The Father's love
You sung it over me and for eternity
It's written on my heart
CHORUS
Heaven's perfect melody
The Creator's symphony
You are singing over me
The Father's song
Heaven's perfect mystery
The king of love has sent for me
And now you are singing over me
The Father's song

The king of love has sent for me

Feeling lethargic
For no good reason,i'm having the feeling of lethargic recently... While talking to my colleagues or friends / family, i could find myself drifting to my dreamland... Oh no!!! It was even a big struggle to even keep awake during the daytime, n0t to mentioned nighttime. For the past few nights, i have been sleeping as early as 9.30pm which is quite uncommon for me... I'm completely clueless of the underlying cause.
Hopefully, i will recover from it just before i go for my holiday next week. Meanwhile shall recuperate at home. Yeah... finally for this year, i'm going for a short break from work and to recharge myself again.... Thanks to a dear sis for inviting me together with the rest for a short visit to Bro R. Til then, i shall update more of our short trip. =)
